Interested in working with Google remotely? We have good news. Google has a lot of money making opportunities and work from home jobs.

Remember when you had to buy a license to download Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to your computer? Nowadays, everyone uses Google Docs for these functions, and it’s completely free. You probably use some of Google’s cutting-edge solutions every day, including the Chrome web browser, Google Workspace, Calendar, Maps, Fiber, and YouTube.

Google is involved in nearly every aspect of digital life, so it’s no surprise that it requires a large workforce to maintain its innovation and dominance in the technology field.

If you’re ready to join Google, check out our different career paths.

1. Become a Google Certified Publisher

If you create top-notch content and your website gets a lot of traffic, you can become a Google Certified Publisher on Raptive (formerly AdThrive). I have been working with Raptive since 2015 and they are amazing. I never thought I could make a lot of money with an ad network, but I was wrong. Currently, my ad revenue is about a third of my total blog income.

Raptive requires you to apply for consideration and meet the following requirements:

  • 100,000 page views per month
  • The majority of our traffic comes from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.
  • 100% original high quality content
  • Google Analytics must be installed on your site

Once your program is approved, Raptive will develop an advertising strategy for your site, placing, monitoring, and optimizing your ads to maximize revenue. Payments are distributed once a month.

Of course, Raptive isn’t the only Google-certified publisher. Here is a list of other certified Google Publishing Partners:

2. Get Google Certified

Yes, it’s true! Google (through its Coursera platform) trains individuals in the areas of data analytics, project management, cybersecurity, digital marketing and e-commerce, IT support, and UX design. These online certification programs can be completed in as little as 3 to 6 months and require approximately 10 hours per week. Best of all, you don’t need any experience to get started. According to Google, the median entry-level salary across the certificate fields is $96,000 per year.

Once you complete a certified training program, you will also gain access to CareerCircle. CareerCircle gives you access to top tech employers offering remote opportunities, as well as personalized coaching, mock interviews, and resume-building tools.

If your end goal is to work from home at Google, earning one of Google’s certifications can help you stand out from the rest. Google’s certification program can be found here.

Beware of work-from-home scams

While there are many legitimate ways to work from home directly or indirectly through Google, you should be wary of scammers using Google’s name to promote fake opportunities.

A while back, a company advertised a deceptive opportunity called Easy Google Profit that has nothing to do with Google. It was a get-rich-quick scheme that demanded upfront payment for vague information.

When looking for a work-from-home job, be sure to do your due diligence and thoroughly research the company by reading reviews on sites like Glassdoor, Indeed, Trustpilot, and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Legitimate companies will list your job description, so if the job description is vague, it could be a scam. Also, look for a professional email address. Scammers tend to use free Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo addresses to contact unsuspecting job seekers.
